The ETERNUS LT140 is an expansion module exclusively for the ETERNUS LT140 base module.

- No PSU pre-assembled (max. 2 mountable for redundancy)
- No drive included
- If a tape drive is configured, at least one PSU is required

- Storage capacity: up to 480 TB (native) and 1200 TB (compressed) per expansion

- Right and left magazine for 20 data cartridges each is already pre-assembled with activated slots
- The capacity of the expansion module depends on the technology and quantity of data cartridges used

Processing of LTO-5, LTO-6, LTO-7 and LTO-8 data cartridges possible depending on tape drive. LTO-6 and LTO-7 tape drives can read three LTO generations and write two LTO generations. LTO-8 can read and write two LTO generations.

(Example:
LTO-6 Tape Drive can read LTO-4, LTO-5 and LTO-6 cartridges and write LTO-5 and LTO-6 cartridges; LTO-8 Tape Drive can read and write LTO-7 and LTO-8 cartridges.)

The ETERNUS LT140 Base Module and Expansion Module must be installed in a 19'' rack with a minimum depth of 1050mm. 3 height units are required in the rack per expansion module.
