Modular Tape Library ETERNUS LT140 Base Module

- Height units: 3U, up to 21U with six expansion modules
- 1x PSU pre-assembled (max. 2 for redundancy)
- Slots: 20 activated, up to 40 with license
- Tape Drive slots: 3x Half Height
- LTO-Technology: LTO-6/7/8
- Interfaces: SAS 6Gb/s, FC 8Gb/s
- Capacity: up to 3.36 PB (native) and 8.4 PB (compressed)
- Up to 5 mail slots per module
- Partitioning via additional license (only possible with at least 2 tape drives)
- Right and left magazine for 20 data cartridges each pre-assembled
- Rack mounting in three height units (RMK included)

No tape drive pre-assembled, at least one tape drive must be ordered with the library as an built-in component. Mixed configurations are possible.

Processing of LTO-5, LTO-6, LTO-7 and LTO-8 data cartridges is possible depending on the tape drive. LTO-6 and LTO-7 tape drives can read three LTO generations and write two LTO generations. LTO-8 can read and write two LTO generations.
(Example:
LTO-6 Tape Drive can read LTO-4, LTO-5 and LTO-6 cartridges and write LTO-5 and LTO-6 cartridges; LTO-8 Tape Drive can read and write LTO-7 and LTO-8 cartridges.)
