ETERNUS LT260 Extension Unit with 80 cartridge slots and up to 6 Half Height Tape Drive slots

The ETERNUS LT260 Extension Unit is an extension module exclusively for the ETERNUS LT260 base module.
You can choose between LTO-6, LTO-7 or LTO-8 Half Height Tape Drives with SAS or FC interface. Mixed configurations are possible. A maximum of 6 tape drives can be installed.

- A drive power module is required after every third tape drive (max. 2 possible)
- For operation with six tape drives, an additional PSU (max. 2 possible) is required
- One right magazine & one left magazine for 40 data cartridges each are pre-assembled
- The capacity of the extension module depends on the technology and quantity of data cartridges used
- Possible interfaces depending on tape drive are SAS 6Gb/s (SFF8088) or FC 8Gb/s
- Processing of LTO-5, LTO-6, LTO-7 and LTO-8 media possible depending on tape drive. LTO-6 and LTO-7 tape drives can read three LTO generations and write two LTO generations. LTO-8 can read and write two LTO generations.
(Example:
LTO-6 Tape Drive can read LTO-4, LTO-5 and LTO-6 cartridges and write LTO-5 and LTO-6 cartridges; LTO-8 Tape Drive can read and write LTO-7 and LTO-8 cartridges)

The ETERNUS LT260 base module and expansion module must be installed in a 19'' rack with a minimum depth of 1050mm. 6 height units are required in the rack per expansion module.

The scope of delivery of the ETERNUS LT260 expansion module also includes:
- 1x Rack Mounting Kit (RMK)
- 1x Power Supply Unit
